    Hello,

I have been using the following clamp bases for quite some time: https://www.tennisman.de/en/Other/Stringing-Machines/Spare-Parts/StringMaster-Clampbase-1-pcs.html. The problem is that I get pain in my thumb (thumb presses with full force so that the things are maximally tight). Does anyone know this?

Anyway, I'm now thinking of buying new ones, which then hopefully also make the work process a little smoother. Thought so far these here: https://www.pros-pro.com/en/zangenbasis-ultimate.html?___SID=S&___from_store=en. Of course, I would prefer the pull down parts from Xpider, but they are too expensive for me. Does anyone know the Pro's Pro and knows whether you have to apply force and what the otherwise so good?
Gladly I listen to other recommendations.

    Best regards,
    Moritz

The question is - do you really have to tighten them that much? But I know the issue with those kind of bases.

They are the standard clamp bases made by AEF which were previously also used on Superstringer machines and others. Solid stuff, nothing fancy but they get the job done. And you clearly won't have the issue with your thumb anymore. And hands down, that price is just crazy cheap.

Even if it pains me a lot to recommend going with Pro's Pro at any point, but I don't see any alternative at just a remotely comparable price. If you consider spending a bit more (like... double...) you could check out those:

Thank you very much! Yesterday I ordered the one from Pro's Pro.
