It's a really good read Thanks for this close-up of the goings-on. Um, I wish there were more. 'One player's report from the NIA' is still 'one player's one report from the NIA' It does look like smashie54's been too busy to follow it up
really interesting report lauren! Appreciate your words that many people here are just ameteurs but rarely see professionals writing from your point of view.
Just curious! Is there any other professional or international competing players actually post here? They probably read but do they post? For me, at least, LT's report is great because it gives us a little of the inside look that we can never get. Maybe BC can adopt LT as our own, as a reporter, supporter, and get more scoop in the future. I figure competing in these tournaments can be expensive. How about some fund raising to support LT so she can compete in more tournaments?
Off topic-Well, we've got a couple of 'em.. ..we don't have much, but at the same time BC is fortunate enough to have 2 of the nicest and wonderful professional players joining as part of BC. Yes, eventhough they don't post a lot, but whenever they have the time to read & post/answer questions posted by BCers, their first person insights and infos of the game, and as a player, have been fantastic & invaluable to us BCers. And i'm referring to Jonas Rasmussen's sub-forum: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34 and Thomas Laybourn's sub-forum: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=70
