Quick take for Day 4.. - The match between Luluk & Alvent vs. Tadashi & Keita could've & should've been closed out in the 1st set after the JPN pair had a commanding lead. But the INA managed to rally and squeaked by. However, the INA pair never really got a strong foothold on the match as the JPN pair made a tremendous rally in the 2nd set to force the rubber set. It was downhill after that for the INA pair, as they struggled to reclaim their game & momentum. They simply made many errors and concentration lapses. Add to that the massive support from the Japanese supporters, who BTW continuously yelled and screamed those ear-piercing chants of "Nippon! Nippon!" and "Tadashi-Keita ganbarre!", right in the back of our ears. - The PG vs. Sato match was quite entertaining. Everyone though PG was done when Sato had a lead in the 2nd set. But it wasn't meant to be so, as PG advanced to the next round. - Same story with Gao Ling & Zheng Bo. They made a very good run in the 3rd only to fall short in a very close battle. - During the MK & HS vs. XZB & HHB match, if you guys could hear the chants and singing of Indonesian fans, that's where the BCers were sitting. Loh even attempted to lead a chorus of the popular Indonesian song, sung at the recent Thomas & Uber Cup, but to no avail. - If you guys notice another thing, during the first 3 days, there weren't any balloon clappers handed out. I asked Fengwei if he noticed anything different. But y'day, they started passing out those balloon clappers. And no, there were no Yonex logo on the aluminum clappers.
Too bad your Korean cutie lost. There're still the Japanese WD cuties . And the Taiwan player beat Vietnam's Nyuen & WCH, not TH & WCH, but still surprise, he was so "quiet" on the scene bf OG.
