The 24-year-old Tsuen Seng will play Hong Kong’s Agus Hariyanto today for a place in the semi-finals.

In the men’s doubles, Gan Teik Chai-Koo Kien Kiat reached their first quarter-finals in an international meet when they defeated Japan’s Yusuke Shikai-Naoki Kawamae 15-2, 15-7. The Malaysians will take on Indonesian youngsters Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan in the last eight.
