New spin serve is now interim banned?!?!

    Here comes the serve in singles, in a professional tournament. Truly game changing. Seems even more ridiculous than in doubles.

    I'm actually surprised it's not more one sided, if he had used that serve throughout the match.

    Should change the title of the thread to “New spin serve banned”.

    Obviously, players were using it too often instead of being sneaky with it…. Sorry, I mean should have been using it judiciously to avoid attracting attention.

    Now how are the umpires going to be able to to differentiate without slow mo replay the spin serve from the tumbling serve? Does this mean that the tumbling serve, eg. Kevin Sukamuljo and Aaron Chia, is also banned?

    the shuttle is held very different
    and u do not spin the shuttle b4 hitting it

    They don't, it's the task of the service judge to call faults on the server.
