kwun, Excuse my internet ignorance but what does this offer mean for Badminton Central? Is it a favour to us or a favour to NBC? If you take on their "widget" does that mean that we peasants who don't live in the USA might get to see their live feeds? Or, on the contrary, does it mean that you will be legally obligated to delete any post that attempts to instruct us aliens how to circumvent the barriers to the NBC feed?
wow, this company looks REALLY shady trying to make personalised message but failed really bad at it it is better to ignore this message
Do you know what NBC is ? It is the official broadcaster of the Olympic Games in the USA .... The url seems legit as well but there is no way they would be allowed to stream to non-US residents. The approach of course is amateuristic, internship level [insert comment]
nbc has the worst international sports coverage. no live feeds unless it fits their prime time slots or they manipulate it with money like swimming in beijing olympics.
personally i have pretty much given up in hoping to have badminton coverage on broadcasted (or cable, whatever) TV. i am happy enough that they will stream the events live via internet. as for the widget, yeah, it doesn't look like there is much benefit for BC, despite how they phrased it so buttery. but at least it means that we know there is good hope that the online coverage for badminton will be as good as 4 yrs ago.
What international sports? And does it make them money? Live streaming all you want on the website ...
yeah, I am even afraid to click on the link (virus or something) they are trying to do direct marketing but failed really bad saw these kind of things on those shady looking fake seller websites that's why I don't trust them if NBC is a very big company, then this small mistake should be avoided. it gives very bad vibe to people who don't know who they are
It was awesome that NBC ran a feed on badminton in 2008. They certainly wouldn't have made any money on it, so it was quite decent of them to go to the effort. Remind me, did it had that special North American-type Olympic commentary? You know the type: The play-by-play guy is the chump who draws the short straw when the broadcast team gets assigned to their sport. ("Sorry boys, you can't all get women's beach volleyball"); ...whose entire "bad-mitt'n" knowledge is comprised by what is printed on a single sheet of paper handed to him by the producer 10 minutes before broadcast; ...who cannot stop himself from using American football metaphors for every nuance of the game; .... who is unable to locate any badminton country on a map, but still feels comfortable labeling players as ''hometown heros''. ... whose long-suffering colour commentator knows the sport yet must hold his tongue except to answer specific technical questions or make responses such as, "Why yes, Todd, Lin Dan is the Michael Phelps of badminton" or, "You're quite right Todd, a net kill is just like a slam dunk in basketball".
just talking about coverage in general. maybe u will have to pay for live streaming this time. a lot of companies r ripping people off these days.
