...in fact, I strung it higher tension with my Yang Yang racket and the same amount of "good clash" only caused a few paint chips fell off;) ;)

It's okay,, I am just waiting for the NEW AT900:D :D

wow racket wasn't even warped? Well I guess NS series aren't famed for their durability. I've seen an NS 7000 break over someone's head at high tensions (hit near the forehead/eye area) and a NS 8000 warped after a decent clash.

I had my first try of the NS7700 3U over 2 hours of play. I currently use NS9000S 2U and 3U. All 21lbs. This is from a beginner/low intermediate perspective.

    • It has the same great hitting feel/feedback as the NS9000S.
    • I found I served better low serves with the 7700
    • I smashed harder with the NS7700, presumably because it's more head-heavy.
    • maneuverability not as good as NS9000 so smash defence a tiny bit weaker
    • NS7700 is better for beginners with slower swing speed/unable to pronate 'explosively'
All in all, an excellent racquet for beginners.

on the other hand, i could not get used to the ns6000 which is supposedly a begnners racquet as the feel is too dead... a lot of vibration seems to be absorbed...

I don't know why, but when I first touches the NS-7700, it reminded me about MP-88, although not as head-heavy. The swinging was very smooth and the feel is pretty responsive. The NS-7700 is better than it looks, and that surprised me a little.

PS: But I still prefer my MP-99s :p

hmm .. is this a trend for nano series.my ns7000 broke exactly at the same 10 o'clock spot n my tension was only like 24 pds ! mine was weird. clash... but still can play .. next session .. cave in at 10 o clock where the crash took place. hmmm .. nanospeed = not durable ? my cab 25 n iso250 is still sound after 2 or 3 accidental clashes. sigh.. i really hope armortec900 tech can last longer

Here is the key - Don't clash the racket.

I happen to see two days ago - a person who gotten frustrated in a game of doubles who could not hold their temper, literally slam their Yonex racket on gym floor and broke it.

Anyone know the difference between NS 7700 and NS 8000? It seems to me that anything 7700 can do, 8000 can do the same. Maybe 7700 is better at smashing? Anyone knows?

Not certain but based on my informal testing, I give the edge to the 7700.

Yeah, I guess being a bit head-heavier and less stiff makes it easier to smash with. Also, all nanospeed have the same problem: you don't return so well when under stress. And i guess 7700 is trying to fix this too. Don't know if they have succedd in this.

Just don't understand why Yonex is still producing 7000. They even made a new color scheme for it, but why bother? Soon 7000 and 7700 will have the same price, and 7000 will most likely suffer from the consequence of its inferiority.

when i don't return so well under stress, i usually blame myself, not the racquet :D

Great attitude! Just think it won't hurt to use an easy racket. I just have enough stress from work already, don't want to handle more stress from sports. :D

    nano durability

huhuhu my nanospeed 9k x just broke bet 4 to 5 o clock area. I had a "soft" clash with a yonex mp 3 months ago and paint chip of mine. I don't know if it is because of my string tension at 26 lbs but i was really sad since i enjoy the racquet alot. I wish this kind of damage is covered by warranty by yonex. I wonder why they made such a "brittle" racquet, considering this is one of their high end racquets.

    anymore feedback on the NS7700?:D
from reading this thread, i still didn't get a consensus whether ns7700 is:

-head heavier of lighter than NS7000
    -stiffer or flexier than NS7000?

    more head heavy.

Stiffness seems pretty equal... Both aren't very stiff.

After I am able to play with it more, I will post another comment ^_^

That's the weakest point of this racket. I give no care when I have bumped it into other rackets at high positions. But at low positions, it's much more dangerous for this racket.
