This is my NanoSpeed 8000 that parents randomly bought. Don't know if its fake for sure or not, but bluejeff said its most likely a fake. If you can't read the serial numbers, they read 5203974 & 280953SP. On the shaft it says... Nano Speed 8000...head light balance/slim shaft/made in japan....SP. Then on the side..it says nano technology|matrix c60. Sorry for bad image quality...
Here are some pics....sorry if i post wrong...enjoy..

From the looks of this racket, you got a fake. Bluejeff is right.

from what i know, the gold paint is off color. And the Solid Feel Core writing should be a little more to the right. THe silver color in the background of the Yonex words (near the handle, i dont know wats taht part is called) should be in gold. Also, its missing some extra string holes on the bottom. I am comparing ur racket to my Nanospeed 8000, and tahts some of the differences i noticed (assuming that mine is real)

I'm glad they didn't get it for 200+, they got it for around 40USD.
Oh yea..the background color is gold, the picture is not exactly what it looks like in real life. thanks for the info.

What color is your original grip? I mean... NS8K grip is very special and it is hard to copy the real one. Mind posting another pic of the grip?

One way to make sure if its 100% real would be to take of original grip and see^^

Ya, that's what I thought too, a ns8k wouldn't go this low for it to be authentic. the grip is black. Do you think 40 is a ripoff for a fake?

The pictures aren't what they actually look like. They are not printed on. They are engraved or laser engraved, don't know for sure.

Have you played with it yet? Haven't tried fake Ns8k yet but fake MP100 is the worst. I know people who buys fake from 20$USD to 60$USD.

I mean Fake in general will break for no reason but some of them are surprisingly good racquet! Tell us if u got ripoff or not^^

If I was you I would still be happy that my parent bought me a racquet even tough its a fake.

As far as I know, there is no 4U weight for Nanospeed 8000.
Still even if it was a fake, if it plays well then it's still good money spent considering that it was so cheap

    Numerous problems.

    1. No SFC sticker (next to the Solid Feel Core text)
    2. SP isn't meant to be written on the shaft
    3. Serial number doesn't match the date (I think the number should be much higher)
    4. Missing the special grommets at the bottom of the head, next to the shaft
    5. Not available in 4U weight

As for the paint colours, that could just be down to lighting.

But there you go, just reiterating the points and opinions already expressed.

At least you have nice parents :) but I dunno how you'll break the news to them... :p

the simplest way to do it? is to not do it.
see if you can return it without their knowledge and acquire a real one if possible.

if not, then let it be. a racquet is a racquet, regardless of if its a real yonex or not.

all the things traits described above do is make it less of a yonex. it does not make it less of a racquet.

I already told them that when they brought it back. They didn't worry that much. They said as long as it is good quality than its worth it. :)
    Thanks for the info..
I'll get back to you guys on the quality when I play later this week. I'll ask a friend who says he used a ns8k before. Don't know any1 that well with one so im just gonna take my friend's word. So far i feel a difference is hitting.

can some of you post some comparison pics of the real thing. This is the first time that i can tell that mine is different from yours. The special grommets near the end are indeed not there on your racket's pics. But i still wonder if mine is real since there are so many conflicting statments in BC.

    thanks.
