let me be slightly more helpful then demolidor... here is the link to squashmart, they are trustworthy. http://stores.ebay.com/RKEP-racket-expert?_trksid=p4340.l2563
It works out to around $23 cdn before shipping. It was quite a bit cheaper than MBS, where I got my set.
Figuring the CDN$ is about even with the USD, that's pretty good. I've seen them for $29.95 each. Is there a walk in store in HK? I have a friend who goes back and forth every other month.
Stringer's world is UK based, not HK. I am not sure if they have a store front there. However, i know for sure that MBS has a store front in HK but the yonex flying clamps $68usd for a pair there.
seems to be rather unsettled at this point. maybe i can do it this way: most dependable string - BG80 - excellent balance of durability / power / control / tension hold / feel best feeling string - ZM62@26/27lbs - excellent control thing, decent power, abysmal durability. best power string - none yet, but BG66UM is one of the top contender latest contender is VS-850 which is like BG80 but excels more on the feel and power dept while holding up on durability and losing on tension hold.
walk-in for MBS is cheaper. you might want to contact them and ask. mentioning you are a BC member may, or may not, help...
i tried the bg66um tonight and it felt dead for some reason same tension as my bg 66. 20/22 cab 20, i was expecting a nice pop but i didn;t get it. i switch back to my bg66 and pop came back. i will try it again next week. cory
I had the same experience. Not sure if I should have have strung it lower or higher than my usual tension for BG66.
i think mbs has free shipping on their items if you buy online. that's why walk-ins are cheaper as they can take off the shipping cost. i don't get any discounts online. and i don't know what formula they use to discount the walk-ins items. so while i have bought stuff there walk-in at cheaper-than-online prices, i am not sure how it was derived.
MBS has free shipping worldwide except for bulky items such as bags or loads of tubes of shuttlecocks.
I don't want to derail this thread any more, since my question is more about stringing tools. I noticed at Badminton Alley they are $25.95 each, which comes to about the same price with shipping and tax (aCK). Maybe the next time I'm in HK, I'll go to the store.
Just out of curiosity, why not just order from Stringers World? After they remove the VAT and add shipping it's only 29 pounds for 2 which is $47.50 USD total or $23.75 each.
yeah i thought of it after i had strung it, maybe breaking it in will help. next time i will try a bit lower cory
