my jaws joints are loose. the game started for around 15 mins. score right now is 13-0 to tony/halim. 13-0. you read it right.
14-0. the koreans are still sleeping. smash no power, net intercept misses. they gonna get slapped this time. real hard. 15-0 already. i want my money back.
they got their first point. but tony halim are so much stronger and faster. halim is absolutely fantastic with his jumpsmash (makes ours looks like beginners' ) the koreans don't even look like their normal form. perhaps they were just too stunned on the first game. let's hope they wake up soon. give us some fighting spirit!! asaa!!!
what's going on? they aren't even alert. was Kim so tired? did he get scolded yesterday by his coach bcoz of losing XD? he is dreaming. he is slow to the net, slow with drives. just no intention to take control. such a contrast from the previous WC when they just demolished Lee/Yoo.
4-9 if this is some tactic by the Koreans to tired out Tony/Halim, then i think it is some really risky tactic. this is like smashing practice for Tony/Halim.
9-8 Indonesian. this is less embarassing. the Koreans are finally awake. perhaps it was just a serious case of jetlag.
alright. 10-9 koreans. they are wearing out Tony/Halim. T/H are not as smashy as before already. but Kim also look rather tired. 9-10. the Koreans are either really stupid or really smart. i am not sure which one. 10-10 now. 11-10 Indonesia. 2nd service. service over. 10-11. K lost a net caught, but Kim/Ha was so out of it, they looked like they didn't care too much. 12-10 Indonesia.
11-14. they still dont' show any sign of urgency. ok. now there is. 12-14. Kim was at least chasing the shuttle. 2nd service. Kim is just down down down. too tired from yesterday, issit?
that's it. 15-13. Kim pushed a service return out of bounds. throughout the whole game, the Koreans only showed very little sign of aggression, they were just standing there to be butchered by Tony/Halim. esp Halim's crazy jumpsmashes. i am very surprised what a one sided match it turned out to be. i had to refuse to see my relatives, rushed all the way home to watch them play. and all i got was a lousy game.
Must be nerves. I just caught the last few points of the singles. It looks like Peter didn;t wobble but Hendrawen played well. BTW, I'm through to the s/f stage. It gets played next weekend
congrats cheung. was playing at the same time as Hendrawan an inspiration, or did you just want to get it over with so you can watch tv?
I feel a bit bad for the Koreans. I have a feeling that they weren't exactly evenly matched, what with Kim DM playing two matches yesterday, both of which lasted over an hour. But guess what my dad said, "It's his own fault what! Who asked him to be so good???" Uh well... great play, Indonesia... Halim was crying on Tony's shoulder at the end of the match... GOOD JOB HALIM!!! Oh btw, when the PBSI split Tony and Candra up, I thought T would never be able to survive without C. Looks like he proved me wrong altogether. And what a great feeling to be proven wrong.... I haven't felt so happy in a long long time... =)
ya lor. spoiled the market. now everyone want to be like Kim. Halim is even more aggressive in the WC than AE. his jumpsmash is inspirational... i need to work on mine now. did anyone manage to watch the Candra/Sigit and Kim/Ha match?
I didn't but i really want to watch these WC matches!! I didn't see the MD finals but i hear it was a real thrashing in the 1st set
Halim played like a man possessed. Quite a lot of the Indonesian attack was on Ha. The Koreans played a lot of lifts. The only time I see the Koreans have more than two smashes in a rally is at 10-0 down.
Re: MD Final - in the zone Tony's amazing leap at the net to intercept the lift with that incredible fast flat rally after it. at 13-0
