Oh, why not... although yesterday's win at the Taipei Open 300 was a bona fide upset.. it was not truly convincing. The team with the lesser mistake made won it ... that's the way I saw it.

I hope they get on a trajectory of improvements after this.. and surprise us all

Tee Kai Wun needs to improve to be more steady.

    And his smashes.

...but unfortunately this time, the Koreans were not the nervous type.

Congratulations on winning the Taiwan Open! Much improvement compared to last year. Still a ways to go if they wanna play with the big boys. But let's hope there's a trajectory

Their playstyle is actually very fun to watch because they absolutely refuse to lift so matches turn into very aggressive flat exchanges, and Man is great at hunting the shuttle when the opportunity arises. Unfortunately, Man Wei Chong's talent will be wasted if he is kept with Tee. Tee is too error-prone and doesn't have a real strength to back it up.

I'm not sure who else is around to pair Man with after OG2024. I'm thinking Yap Roy King perhaps?

I junior is playing both singles as well as doubles. (Faiq?) Forgot who. Let him concentrate on singles and his partner team up with MWC maybe.
This doubles MWC/KWT is not that young anymore and a better fit pairing might work. So a little experimentation with different partners maybe the answer

I had the same thoughts when I first saw them play. Tee is the weaker player.
But, when Chia/Soh were paired up, Soh was the weaker player and Soh has improved his smashes.
It was Soh front court and Chia rear court. With Chia's shoulder injury, the roles are now reversed and their results got better.

    Same with Pearly/Thinnah.
Thinnah has improved and Pearly is the one making more errors, maybe due to her knee injury.

Hope that Tee will step up soon (very fast) before Man's career is wasted.
Yesterday, I noticed a bit of negative body language from Man.
