Maria had bigger chance to win over Petya than Sony to win over CH.

The bioggest upset yesterday must be Joko/Agus lost to unknown Germany pair.

WMC win over PHY is an upset but not really a suprised. Cauyse we already know that WMC is a good WS.

Polii/Vita Marissa win over WPT/CEH is not a big suprise too cause both Polii and Vita is good WD although they just been playing together since Asia Games 2006.

Well .. about Pi hongyan i can call this an upset because pi hongyan always had quite easy matches against wong mew choo. And i can add that 10 days ago Pi hongyan got injured when she was training in hongkong then she couldn't prepare well and wasn't really ready to play T_T

    yes,new strategy adopted by LYB.
basically they think ZJ is a little bit old for the 21 point rally, and GL is still good enough.

Here is my evaluation of KBH :

He must surely be maturing - he can no longer be a spring chicken, having tasted the worst of defeat in the Thomas Cup, which scarred him somewhat.

His last few games, although he did not progress to any great heights, were suggesting that the guy has improved under Li Mao. As he gets more hardened, he will probably start earning his keeps by winning against better players such as BAO, CJ or CY. I vaguely remember that he took these players to very tight games in the last few tournaments. As such, the surprises might come up any time from this guy. Today, is a possible day for that against BAO.

I'll give this to KBH: he's played better of late and have troubled a few of the big boys. While he's still far from their level, he's got the ability to hang in there better. I think it's an improved sign of mental toughness. What he's got to do is keep BCL on the court for as long as possible, put a few doubts in his mind and tire him out. The beneficiary... LCW. Isn't that what team mates are for? :)
