    Wishful thinking

Won't that be interesting if Lee Hyun Il beat Lin Dan in SF, may be wishful thinking? :D

Mathias is Boe's first name. His partner is Lars Paaske in this tournament.

It will be a hard fight between Wang Chen and Yao Jie if Wang Chen advances. Judith has improved so much.. its not a suprise if she goes to the Finals.. For MS i hope Lee Hyun Ill will win. He might produce a suprise.

LHI is getting more consistent now of at least getting into quarters. But I seriously doubt he could threaten LD at all, as LHI himself had mentioned he is troubling by LD's speed and agile while ago at AE2006.

    My prediction
LD 2-0 LHI (wishing LHI to win)
LCW 2-1 CH (wish CH to win)

    PREDICTION:

    SEMI FINAL MACAU OPEN 2006

    MEN SINGLES

All top 4 seeded made it to SF! Good job. Suprising, MS are the only matches without surprise result at all.

Lee Chong Wei VS Chen Hong. LCW win in 2 sets.

Lin Dan VS Lee Hyun Il. LD will win.

    WOMEN SINGLES

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! For first time ever for a long time, there will be no China WS in SF although they sent 4 WS in this tourney. ZN getting older and China youngster still not consistent with their play if they met tough opponent. LYB will be real mad at his players.

Judith M VS Wang Chen: Again, Judith made a big surprise! Can she past Wang Chen this time? WC win in 3 tough sets.

Yao Jie VS Yip Pui Yin. No brainer. Yao will win.

    MEN DOUBLES

Lots of surprise in here too. Paaske who partnered with Boe this time beat the talented Jung/Lee in 3 sets. And another new pair Guo ZD/ Zheng Bo beat the experience Chong/ LEE also in 3 sets.

    Cai/Fu VS Paaske/Boe Cai/Fu will win.

Lee Jae Jin/Hwang VS Guo/Zheng. I haven’t see these two pairs play. But judging on who they beat before SF, probably Guo/Zheng will win in 3 tough sets.

    WOMEN DOUBLES

Another suprises here. I am proud that Jo/Polii lost to Gao/Huang in two really close set. The suprises here is Denmark pair Lena/Kamilla. They beat Taiwan pair in r16 and Japan seeded pair in QF. Can at last Denmark had their successor in WD after Helene K/Rikke Olsen?

    Gao/Huang VS Kamila/Lena : Gao/Huang will win.

Zhang YW/ Wei YL VS Lee Lee. Pretty hard to predict who will win. Specially both Zhang YW and Lee Hyo Jung didn’t play Mixed tomorrow. But I say Zhang/Wei win just because I like Zhang YW :D

    MIXED DOUBLES

The biggest upset here is Zheng Bo/Yu Yang defeat top seed Lee/Lee in just 2 sets.

Zheng Bo/Yu Yang VS Laybourn/Juhl. Zheng Bo turn out to be pretty decent in MD and good in XD. Meanwhile after a long time Laybourn/Juhl managed to grab a SF place. Zheng Bo/Yu Yang win in 3 sets.

    Paaske/Nielsen VS Zhang/Gao : Zhang/Gao will win.

Not surprisingly, Halim has not been in international competition for more than 12 months? Tony although winning the Indo open with Candra, admitted that he is not as quick as he used to be. I believe they played Lee and Jung and not Lee/Lee. Probably Korea's no.1 and fast improving.

    that's correct Wizbit, it's Lee/Jung not Lee/Lee(i only took a quick glance, didn't pay attention), sorry...:p
I guess they flew out there almost for naught...Hmm, on that note, does anyone know if Tony & Halim will be participating in the Thailand Open??..Cos they'll be flying back soon to L.A. to prepare for the upcoming U.S. Open(in less than 3 weeks)...:p

That's right. Lee Yong-dae, a high school student, is playing with Jung Jae-sung now and they are Korea's top pair. They won the German Open and lost to Fu/Cai in the finals of the Taipei Open. They also made the semis of the Indonesian and Swiss Opens. They haven't been playing together long but they are now 9th in the world. Jung was playing with Lee Jae-jin for most of last year and they won the Thailand Open in 2005.

Event, your knowledge of the Korean players history is amazing. What can you tell about Jung Jae Sung? My impressions are although he is relatively short, he is very explosive and has a very powerful jump smash, and also a bit moody.

My predictions were right. Lee Hyun Ill defeated Lindan.. so it will be LCW vs the Korean.
