Hi Pyshuttler, I am playing at Bacons on Thursdays, (strictly members/Invites only).
As far as I know, from other players talking about Tuesday/Wednesday, its still opens to all. Wednesday's level is quite high. cost £5 (2hrs?) I think. I can find out more this Thursday.

i think its starts at 7.30pm, (maybe 8pm) 4 courts, lighting is not too bad, they have (a hint of blue-ish) flourescent tubes, the courts are varnish wooden floor. its a college gym so the floor can be dusty at times.
the number of players can varies, all depends who shows up as its not a member club.

    Hi,

New to this site, I used to play for the uni team in North London and just moved to SE area. I'd like to check bacon's college Wed's club out tonight. Does anyone have their contact number? Who shall I talk to when I'm there?

    Thanks

Did you turn up last night? I was there too.

The players are friendly and the organiser's name is olly (not sure of the spelling). The session starts from 8pm and ends at 10pm.

Reading this thread I still don't know if I can attend this club

    Tuesday - beginners, time?
    Wednesday - intermediate, time?
    Thursday - member only
    Friday - member only

Can anyone confirm and correct the above?

    Let's do a bit of update :)

Been playing on Wednesdays since May. Like it, there are mainly good players, intermediate to advanced. You might find it a bit boring if you are really a beginner. time 7:30-10:00pm, but most people turn up around 8:00, and sometimes finishes around 10:30.

Never been to Tuesday's, think they open to all too, same time as wednesday's I suppose...

Don't know about Thursday's, according to some other people you must be invited and the level is not high.

    @aaronuk

    Tuesday - beginners, time?
    Wednesday - intermediate, time?
    Thursday - member only
    Friday - member only

Tuesdays...starts at 7:00 - finishes between 10 / 10:30. does get busy though. beginners? hahaha where did you hear that?
both tuesday and wednesday are ex-league players and on tuesday (recently) less and less beginners.

Thursday - is a member only club and i guess invite would be best.
Friday is a member club but also an open to all club, there is a wide range of standards from beginners to club standard.

but for anyone reading this - if you want to play just turn up and see for yourself.

    Hello everyone,

I am pretty new to the city and to the game(maybe played like 20-25 times),but I always enjoyed it alot. As I am living in Poplar this club seems to be the perfect one for me. Can I simply come over on a Tuesday/Wednesday night?
I also guess that I´d have to bring a racket myself(don´t have one yet)?

    Kind Regards

    Hello Everyone

I was wondering does this still take this or have they stopped? If they still are doing badminton in bacons college is it possible if you could tell me what days the courts are open and what time please?

    Thank You
