Now that the venue has been confirmed, anyone can give an idea how and where can I purchase tickets for this big badminton event. Many thanks for your advise.
LCW is not attending? I just checked my holiday schedule and think about coming over to KL for this tournament. No idea so far if venue is Putra Stadium or another location. Tickets also doesn't seem to be available. I hope for news in the coming days.
As mentioned on Badzine, the venue has now been named and it is the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Stadium. Also, what Chong Wei hinted in the Badzine video interview has now been confirmed by the New Straits Times, who now say he will attend.
Thanks for the update. Venue is The Kuala Lumpur Badminton Center at Jalan Cheras then... ok. Who else thinks about coming there?
Lee Chong Wei was still saying, in mid-September, that he did not intend to play even after the Superseries Finals were confirmed for Malaysia. He also hinted the same thing in the interview with Badzine, where he mentions that it's difficult because it's in Malaysia but says he still wants to take a break in December. While he did play in the leagues in India and China, it looks like his other tournament choices involve outside pressure. He faces BWF fines if he skips China or Denmark and his sponsor no doubt wants him to play France and Hong Kong. As for the SSF, I'm sure everyone was trying to persuade him to play - the BWF, BAM, possibly Yonex, if they're sponsoring it, not to mention the fans.
MAS needs LCW as not many MAS players may qualify...INA will send Towi/Natsir,Pia/Rizky, Jordan/vita or Kido/ pia,Ahsan/ Hendra, may be Tommy and Sony if qualify
Sure MAS needs LCW, sponsors need LCW, etc.....Maybe LD not playing, home venue with high winning advantage, crowd supports, more $$$ than SSP, less games to play...so Dato changes his mind to play.
Finally, hawkeye is here... Hope it is for real.. http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=78748
I am going Yes, this is very helpful indeed. I am going to watch this event but not sure yet when can purchase the tickets online. keep on sourcing these days but can't find any.
It'll be held in Cheras Badminton Stadium in Kuala Lumpur... not Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil. Anyway, hope to see you guys there if anyone is coming.
Hi All, ticket could be purchase online now.. http://www.ticketpro.com.my/jnp/cz/sports/badminton/1214231-osim-bwf-world-superseries-2013.html
Hi, hope someone can help answer my questions:- 1) For Cheras Stadium, what is the nearest train station name? 2) Can I buy tickets at the stadium on match day itself? Thanks
OR Maluri LRT. I'd recommend that instead for a safer walk to the Badminton Stadium, rather than walking through the dodgy low cost housing area of Sri Johor flats, Taman Ikan Emas and Sri Sabah flats.
