let me clarify, LD is a professional soldier, not a professional player. In sudirman cup, LD is playing for his country standing, his personal prides are represented by all his hardwares already. What good it do for his country (china) if LD go all out and risk injury over 'nothing'?

i'm not disturbed, your 'whatever' is just a cope out statement. It reflect upon u more so than me. So, I'm not disturbed at all.

come on, just take a look of this from sina china

hmn..if LYB really not so concern about the match. Then why he walk in to coach LD during the match break? And for LD, he had stated that he want to win over LCW to prove his current condition...

Super Dan" is not superman, says Chinese head coach[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif](Xinhua)

Chinese head coach Li Yongbo said that he had no worries for world number one Lin Dan, who missed a point in China's 4-1 win over Malaysia at badminton Sudirman Cup on Thursday.

"Lee is better prepared than Lin. He wanted to prove himself and kind of changed his game. The defeat is a good thing to Lin and he will learn from it," Li said.

"Looking to the semifinals, I might make minor changes to our lineup because of injury and fitness. But definitely I still have confidence in Lin. He has been steady in team competition."

China, who will meet South Korea in Saturday's semifinals, are hot favorites to retain the title and Li was confident to win their sixth Sudirman Cup.

"It would be the breaking news if China could not win the tournament," he said.

To all the fans out there, hope Li YB's statements can answer some of your queries.

I will be back to the ori topic. Its just a bad time 4 LD.Its hard 4 me to say but he will be back.he will. I dont like him but i miss his smile when he win.He will be back.Dont worry.im not his fan.of course. But if he's not around, its not a badminton game.

LD may not be in top form, but to call it "shocking form" is a bit too much, don't you think?

Anyway, I hope to enjoy two more battles between the best MS players, LCW vs Gade and hopefully, LD vs Taufik (provided both teams win their semis).

Hair gel the real reason LD lost

well, it is just pent up frustration releasing from the LCW fans since LCW was more or less mediocre in 2006. I'm glad LD lost because he might get back his motiviation to win. Remember that LD is just back from an injury rest, why yourself push to the limit, plus china takes 4-0 anyway. If lcw fans can't tell which one of LD or LCW is superior, just count the number of titles each have, this will clear up their confusion.
Titles? We re talking about now. Actually what was revealing about the SC match was that LCW's skills are superior to LD, not that LCW played better.Watch the match with your eyes and mind wide open, cooler. I just realise that LD is No. 1 in nothing except his world ranking and showy smash.
But you know the real reason why LD lost? He was moonlighting for a certain brand of hair gel. Applied too much, making him look like he donned a Roman warrior head gear. Unfortunately he forgot he's playing badminton. The gelled hair generated significant air resistance, resulting in his loss of speed and may also have affected his cognitive abilities. Advice to him: Go bald.By the way I don't think he will ever recover from his SO07 injury until he retires.

My view -" LYB is really not so concern" is that he didn't consider the loss destructive since Chn is already through to the semis. As for LD, if I am not wrong, he has always been positive in his approach to matches when asked by the media. Those who strongly believe in psychological advantage will agree with his action. Others may deemed it as overconfident or arrogant perhaps.

As R. Federer said the loss at the FO 07 will not kill him although he is disappointed. Sometimes, it is not all that bad that top players loses one or two matches. It can be a wake-up call and takes the player to a higher level.

This is a little off topic, and this is not to defend LD lost to LCW. But do you guys think that China over played LD? I mean was it necessary to play LD when they're playing against England or Thailand. They took BCL and CJ and they have yet get to played. I don't know what's China thinking, why take them along if they're just going to be bench warmers.
Don't be surprised CJ plays in SF and BCL in F.

What "SHOCKING FORM"??? He did win all his other matches with ease. LD is not slacking like what LCW was for almost a year after his defeat to BCL before he reinstated himself recently. Honestly, I think LCW is in fiery form, and LD lost to a better player on his day, only if you have seen the match LIVE yesterday.

I think MAS will feature WCH playing against PG or KJ in the final playoff match. WCH have not tasted action since he set foot in Glasgow. It's time for him to secure some Olympic points. Isn't that what BAM sent him there for?
