All matches are exciting except WS which is sandwiched in the 2nd match. What should I do during this time?

I remember last year INA OPSS WD final between WXL/YY and QT/ZYL was so thrilling that all the spectators in Istora cheers for both pairs all through the match.
I hope all the matches in badminton including between players from the same country -not only CHN- could be that thrilling too. I'm sure team CHN can do it bcos it's happen in Table Tennis. Even though CHN players regularly create all CHN SF like in the last WC, the matches always great and that make Table Tennis still popular and have lot of fans -and sponsors too- all over the world despite CHN domination for a long years.

My predictions for the final outcomes

The final matches, following the order of play:

XD Tontowi AHMAD/Liliyana NATSIR [3] vs YOO Yeon Seong/EOM Hye Won
INA pair has the clear upper hand --> XD for INA! KOR pair has a very slim chance here.

WS LI Xuerui [1] vs WANG Yihan [4]
Well, all CHN business... unless Yihan increases her form a lot, Xuerui is in the very form to earn it.
For some who dislikes it so much, time to have your full one-meal break and cease your moaning here :p

MS Tommy SUGIARTO vs Boonsak PONSANA [5]
Though Boonsak is seeded #5 here, indeed the upper hand belongs to Tommy :)
"Stats-wise Tommy won (rather) convincingly in their last two from the total of three encounters"

WD TIAN Qing/ZHAO Yunlei [5] vs Misaki MATSUTOMO/Ayaka TAKAHASHI [2]
The odd here is more to 50/50, even though the H2H is 3-1 in favor for CHN pair, their recent encounter in 2013 DIO was settled in 3 games with just two point margin in decider went to Tian/Zhao. Quite open here.

MD KO Sung Hyun/LEE Yong Dae [1] vs Mohammad AHSAN/Hendra SETIAWAN
Though the H2H is 2-0 in favor of INA pair, the odd is quite balanced, somewhat of 50/50. Quite open here.

Let's see whether Li XR & Wang YH will perform "real" show tomorrow as they did in London Games final last year ;)

The most surprising finalist should be Korean XD, Yoo Yeon Seon/Eom Hye Won who beat their two compatriots en route to final.

    MS FINAL
    Tommy Sugiarto
vs Boonsak Ponsana [5] - Boonsak had won the title twice and he's the defending champion. Tommy is hunting for his first ever SS title and has a better H2H than Boonsak, winning the last 2 encounters. I am hoping Tommy can go all out and win his elusive title. That will hopefully spur him to greater heights and he has shown improvements by beating CHN players in recent weeks.

    MD FINAL
Ko Sung Hyun/Lee Yong Dae [1] vs Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan - Hendra/Ahsan had beaten the top-seed twice, including in last week's Final. Can they do a back-to-back title win...we shall see.

    XD FINAL
    Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir
[3] vs Yoo Yeon Seong/Eom Hye Won - in the absence of the top 3 pairs, technically speaking, the INA pair should take this title. Let's hope Owi/Butet do not underestimate their newly paired opponent.

If Towi/Lily don't win this title, they need to be given a serious spanking!! ;) :p

In the WS match, I don't know what to expect -but that's because I've given up trying to second-guess what goes on in the minds of those girls.... :(

In the MS match, I'm rooting for Boonsak! Us senior citizens gotta stick together.... :p

In the WD match, I'm going for those newcomers, Zhao something and Tian something...

In MD, I'm throwing caution to the wind, and going with Ahsan/Hendra. But that's more because I'm banking on KSH flunking it again. Plus, it's the last match of the day, which gives ol' man HS sufficient time to wake up, smell the coffee, drink up, warm up, realise it's not Markis but Ahsan....

What's really amazing about YYS is that he is playing like he never took a break! He got back into competition and almost immediately went about winning like it was his birthright.

KSH must be kicking himself.... :D

As long as Tommy doesn't get cold feet playing in his first SS finals, he should have good chance with BP. If he wins, will he be in the top 10 of rankings?

    Malaysia BOLEH...!!!
Based on yesterday's performance, Tommy is poised to nail this title. INA MD n KOR MD are equally strong... should be an exciting match up... boleh? :p

The question is Does Tommy feet strong enough to dance in the court today. If Bonsak can make it a hard day for Tommy and maybe force it to rubber, I think Tommy will run out of gas in the end.
But that's just my guess :)

Agree. Tommy need to see this as a rare chance so he can close the fatigue gap.
Boonsak is a very deceptive and tactical MS, Tommy will have to disrupt BP game plan earlier if he want his chance stay.

Considering Tommy is only 25, fatigue should be less of a factor. I bet nerve will be more of an issue during the match.

Nerve will be always an issue for this level of match. We were referring to yesterday's Tommy's game with NTM that might sapped his energy in which 1 day might not enough to recover him to his 100%.
While Tommy's game mostly rely to his physicality, I still believe this should be an aspect.
Boonsak is around 29, not too old as well and his game style mostly rely to technicality.
    Quite interesting condition for both.

10 minutes to go for the curtain-raiser.....

Polish your pencils. Re-heat your tea. Email your excuses to your bosses. Light your incense sticks. And pray your internet connection doesn't drop! :D
