One good news to share. I read that BWF is going to introduce hawk-eye camera similar to what's being used in tennis sometime next year, and not wait until 2014. Still I believe some discretion on the part of the umpires/judges is necessary at times when deciding close linecalls because a shuttlecock is not shaped exactly round like a tennis ball. A great improvement nevertheless.
Another new development is that BWF has decided to change the group format for the next Olympics Rio 2016 - after the group stage is played, all those who came in second in each group will be pooled and a new draw conducted for them for the QF elimination stage. This should,hopefully, prevent the LOG WD fiasco from happening again.
