    Today we will have
MD and WD opening round and R16
    MS and WS R16
(the XD R16 was played late yesterday)

At the moment, the WD opening round matches are being held. No real surprises so far. Chin/Wong easily won. Zhang/Zhang and Saralee/Sathinee have byes. The English and Danish pairs have no problems.

Most interesting tie of the day would be Hafiz v Kenneth. The last time they met was in Singapore where Kenneth won in 3 sets.

Sairul Amar Ayob defeated Roslin in rubber set.

eh, candra/sigit won 17/15 over their opponents, their opponents (malaysians) must be great, becos c/s used to win their games with like 15/2 or 15/1 scores

Really unfortunate that the Malaysian ladies lost in such a close encounter. :(
    Final score: 15-10, 14-17, 12-15
    Match lasted for 93 minutes.

Missed their best chance to get into the semifinals of a 6* tournament. They may never get a chance like that again.

Wong PT also must be missing KKK.
Shall they participated in XD, she would have extend her stay in Korea.
This pair has shot to no 16 in the latest world ranking released today.

All Malaysians out except Sairul. And he has to face Peter Gade in the quarterfinals tomorrow. Well, good luck to him. Looks like the young doubles players cannot overcome their hurdles. In particular, Tan/Ong lost to the Danish pair of the equivalent generation. Chin/Wong lost a great chance. Well, we have seen many days like these in Malaysian sports.

Is there any alternative to http://www.koreaopen.or.kr/ for getting the results? The official website doesn't seem to work very well - slow or doesn't load at all
