The MAS pair won last week, didn't they?? I think "Fuzzy"/Zakry have the slightest edge over the inconsistent INA pair.

Ah, but we need to respect all veteran pairs. They can turn the tables pretty much at a whim, and Luluk/Alvent did that to Koo/Tan over Japan Open.

Besides, there is still this Fairuz stability issue ...... good against Luluk/Alvent last week, not so good against Tony/Candra.

I personally will not be too disappointed if LCW loses this time, provided it's a tight game. In the last 6 SS after the World Championships fiasco, he qualified to the final in 5, winning 3.

LHI's performance is now almost back at his 2005/2006 season. There is the hunger again, and never say die attitude I wish most MAS players would learn to instill. Most impressive was his demolition of Sony after losing 1st game and trailing badly in the 2nd.

Whitewash or not, I am looking for a decent fight from Julia Wong, so that she can focus on the next level beyond SEA Games level. Granted, she might still lose to Zhang Ning, but ZN is very vulnerable nowadays.

I wouldn't be too surprised if that happens.

Agreed. LCW has been impressive in SS events, reaching at least SF for his last 8 SS events since winning Indonesia Open last year (4 titles, 2 finals, 2 semi-finals). Losing to a resurgent LHI in Korea is acceptable to me.

Yup, pretty much depends on Fuzzy being nervous or not. Courageous Shortie is most times courageous, pulling both of them thru. On good days they can beat Fu/Cai, Lars/Jonas & couple mths ago, Tony/Chandra.

Anyway, if all dont get thru to QF, will be disastrous to the powers-that-be, more hammering. For the players sakes, I hope sbody get thru.

From recent records, LCW & Zakry/Fairuz should pass thru to QF.
CCM/CCE vs Lee/Jung should be very interesting, the Koreans would want revenge for two of their pairs losses against CCM/CCE.

looking at our players path to QF, it is not a mission impossible, but definitely a hard one...no sweat, no gain...

match of the day will be lcw vs lhi, rematch of MO08 final the chances will be 55:45, favour to lcw...i would say, a tight-tight-tight game...

i sincerely hope that our dage hann can destroy bcl using his bulldozer skill, even the chance is so slim...CAT is by your side, dage, n i believe my fellow gang here, Jess, Uncle Sam, Uncle Loh, madbad, luyi80, robin, vching, jasonmarc, abedeng, spchu will support u, wholeheartedly, too...

LCW is subject to less pressure outside Malaysia

    .
Because LCW is subject to less pressure playing outside Malaysia, LCW should win this match. :D

In Msia pressure is huge, outside Msia pressure less than play inside Msia, for the player that is, he he. + today, still got so many Msian players 'accompany' LCW.

MO, he was only one left. Yes, yes, LCW & Misbun also happy he able to win in spite of the huge home ground pressure, that's why LCW pic he's grinning ear to ear, it's a breakthru.

I would give LHi a slight edge (51:49)

As usual for Malaysia, it is last man (LCW) standing. If he is beaten today, whitewash is the correct word to use.
