Seems like Srikanth is in a bit of a mini slump. His ranking is not terrible, don't get me wrong. But it could be better. Last year before the WC, he had won multiple SS in a row. He truly was a top 3 player in the world last year when he was winning all those SS. I had him as a top 3 favorite to win the WC last year.

It seems like he has hit a wall again, or maybe he is not as motivated. But he needs to stay motivated because he needs to improve. At this rate, I would not consider Srikanth to be a top 5 favorite at next year's WC (whereas he was a top 3 favorite to win the 2017 WC). Kento Momota found a way to improve after being banned from competition for over a year. If Srikanth wants to win a WC, or take gold at the 2020 Olympics, he needs to improve his game.

I would like to see India get a gold at the Olympics or WC because it would be great for the sport of badminton.

He's been too inconsistent. Had an easy draw at WC where he could have fetched India's first MS medal. Faltered at Asian games too where he didn't even put up a fight against Wong wing ki. I hope to see him regain his confidence and form back and challenge the likes of KM, AG and CTC again.

Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth signs 4-year deal with Li-Ning
    https://www.livemint.com/Sports/Uge...bi-Srikanth-signs-4year-deal-with-LiNing.html

The deal, which is valued at ₹35 crore for a period of four years, will comprise sponsorship and equipment supply

Srikanth’s Li-Ning deal reported at record ₹ 35 cr; but there are riders
    https://www.insidesport.co/srikanths-li-ning-deal-reported-at-record-₹-35-cr-but-there-are-riders/

The four-year deal is reported to be worth ₹ 35 crore – ₹ 30 crore in cash and ₹ 5 crore worth of equipment over the next four years. The ₹ 8.75 crore per annum deal at the face value will only be second to India’s highest paid and biggest brand icon Virat Kohli, who reportedly charges between ₹ 8 crore and ₹ 10 crore per annum to endorse a brand. His bat sticker deal with MRF is reported at ₹ 110 crore for eight years – ₹ 13.75 crore per annum. MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and PV Sindhu come next in that order.

Sure that was Astrox 99? He could face a legal infringement if so. I know he was using astrox 99 and yonex shoes without displaying logos during pbl

Racket looks like Astros 99. But strings are from lining? Or using BG 65 titanium ( lining logo) ?
    But why?
I don't know much about lining. So, I could not answer about the racket. Is there any racket in lining which look exactly like Astrox 99 ?

India Open: Despite loss to Axelsen, Srikanth is taking tiny but firm steps in right direction
The key from here on for the former world No 1 will be to stay injury free and work on the mental approach as the countdown for Tokyo Olympics begins.

    STR / AFP

    Excerpt:
But in New Delhi, where the court conditions weren’t really to his liking with the drift moving around, Srikanth showed a steely resolve and resilience to pull matches from the brink. He was not only judicious with his shot selection but also extremely patient in building a point.
The technical change has been in terms of shot selection. Srikanth was willing to play more tosses and safe clearances instead of targeting the lines to find the winners and that allowed him to control the tempo of the matches a great deal.

Again the same old problem, bad patches outnumbering good patches of his play in a game/match
