The Indonesian badminton team will include new mix double Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa in the five- start Japan Open Tournament slated to be held on October 10-15, head of the training unit of the Indonesian Association of Badminthon Lius Pongoh said. The two were united following the injury faced by Anggun Nugroho, who was used to play with Vita, in the Hong Kong Open last month. "Anggun's coach Richard Mainaky asked Anggun to have a rest until the doctor declares him of being shaped again," Antara news agency on Sunday quoted Lius as saying. He added as Anggun's medication might take time, PBSI decided to exclude him from the list and put Flandy to replace him. He also said Anggun/Vita was also prepared for the Asian Games that will be held in Doha, Qatar on December 1-15. He said Indonesia was planning to send only 18 players, each nine women and men players, to Doha. The nine men are Taufik Hidayat, Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Simon Santoso for men`s single; Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto and Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan for men`s double and Nova Widianto and Flandy for mix double. While the nine women are Fransisca Ratnasari, Adrianti Firdasari and Pia Zebadiah for women`s single; Jo Novita/Greysia Polii and Lita Nurlita/Nathalia Poluakan for women`s double and Lilyana Natsir and Vita for mix double. Most of these players, except the women's single and men's double, will take part in the Japan Open. Source: Xinhua
