..the Individual Draws will be conducted on Monday (19th) during the teams' manager's meeting. But yes, the result should be available on Tuesday (20th).
Individual events will start on Wednesday (21st).

Looking at the lists above, both the MS and WS events will not feature any returnees. While only Ow Yao Han (MAS) will be the only player, in the whole tournament, defending his MD title.

Uhm, Chris... I need to clarify certain things written on this M & Q list:
    WR = World Ranking, right?
ER = European Ranking, I suppose?
SYOG = ...Singapore Youth Olympic Games?!?!?

    ^^Whatchoo mean??..^^

who are not in the list?
    - Liu Kai (CHN) is in the MS list. That's probably a typo error on his name (last yr his family name was spelled as Lu, this yr as Liu??). No wonder his record for last yr is not there.
    - Tan Wei Han (SIN) is in the WS & WD list.
    http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/players.aspx?id=E8A3C1CE-55FE-4ADA-B99B-D3FFD4262A3F

If referring to their 2009 WJC Individual events finish(es) and/or the 2010 AJC finish(es):
    - Liu Kai finished as QFist in MD event and Runners-Up in XD event in last yr's WJC. No AJC record for this yr.
    - Tan Wei Han's 2009 WJC's WS result is shown above; she also finished 1/32 in WD but not sure why the record is not there. No AJC record for this yr.

what limsy mean for THW is Tian Hou Wei from China. last year WJC winner. he is the one that limsy said to be the next Lin Dan. Someone also said to me that in his age, his skill is very complete. It's very rare to see a complete skill for a player in his age.

    Oh, them..

:p..yeah, got the initials confused; early morning dizzyness..

Tian Hou Wei? rumor of him playing? how come he's not playing? injured? or because the bosses won't let him play? or other reasons?...if he doesn't participate then it's toooo baaaad & his loss. It's not a joke he's not participating.
Him the next LD??..it seems nowadays everyone is looking for the next LD...fact is, there's only 1 LD and there will never be another one like him...

As for the other chap, Lu Kai, why he's not participating? it's toooo baaad and his loss if he's not participating. And no, he's absence is also not a joke.

How about the THA WS champion from last yr, Porntip B. or whatever her name is....she's not present, does that mean it's a joke, too??...it's toooo baaaad & her loss if she's not playing...

How about the INA XD champions from last yr? they're not present, does that mean it's a joke, too?...if they are still juniors but don't participate, it's toooo baaaad & their loss on their part too...

The show must go on without those players...

If Tian Houwei and Lu Kai are not in the list given by BWF, then, they will not be playing in the Individual Event.

What's the big fuss anyway :cool:???

Err....last year's GS champion should be Ratchanok Intanon, while last year's XD Champion was a THA pair too.

Ratchnok not playing WS cos she's too young to qualify for YOuth OG. She should be playing WD, she did in Team event.

    - Yo, guys, if i understand what limsy is trying to convey, he was just pointing out that this yr's WJC is a "joke" because THW and LK should be playing (THW was the MS champion last yr and Lu Kai was the MD runners-up). Their absences in this WJC have sort of "lessen" the significance of this WJC.
But apparently, he brought up something else abt them being over-age??..
    - Yeah, Ratchanok it is (I didn't scroll all the way to the right to see her name in last yr's WJC WS draw). I only saw Porntip's name. Anyway, Ratchanok is at least playing and defending her WS title.
    - To Ms. eaglehelang: no, i'm not referring to the YOG. I saw Ratchanok's name in this yr's WJC WS field (previous page), so she should be playing the WS event.
    - I'm not surprised to find out THW and LK are older than the required WJC age. So, that's the main reason they're not playing in this yr's WJC? If they don't qualify because of their age, then i don't think it's a "joke" they are not participating at all.
    - Same deal with Porntip...

Most of the U.S. players had gone back home after the team event. Probably 1 or 2 will stay and compete in the individual events.
Andy Chong (formerly from M'sia) is one of the coaches for the U.S. team.
