this thread seems like dead, no games are organised. i consider my level still at beginner but have played more than 10 games since started this july.
I tink everybody here who replied shld be ok with wed's nite game at woodlands sports hall, ie. me, u, sheringam, dunno, pelican, irving and splinter. but i guess is who will be able to book the sports hall court for wed's games on Tues morn 7am, SSC i-book website once personnels are confirmed. Unfortunately, i am unable to... When this is resolved, i guess it will start the "shuttle" rolling for this group.
I can only play from 8-10pm every wedneday. Is it better to go down to sports hall or online book better? I think once we get at least 4-6 members, we can start already.
Online booking is much more convenient....but will hang big time when everybody logs in on Tues morning 7am. So its real "competitive", the moment yr website window hang somehow, courts availability whe u refreshed is equal to none. Somemore, when booked online, can only pay online btwn 9am-12noon to confirm booking. But if go down straight to book...can pay instantly....n i hope its doesnt hang like the i-book website. However, i never tried goin down to book at 7am sharp at sports hall.
Online booking login before 7am and keep on refreshing after 7am. By the time I booked and settle payment, it was around 7:20am. I was late for work. :crying: Go sports hall book must be earlier, before 6:50am already got people there. I asked the staff there, a lady told me that they open at 6:50am. To book, you must write down which sports hall, date and time on a form together with the queue tag. They start key in at 7am and collect payment. Whether you can get the slots depend on how long the queue, available slots, how fast they key in and collecting payment. Same thing I was late for work again. :crying: After that never book already.
Wednesday Game 8pm-10pm Why not I organised? I can book the wednesday court. No problem for me. Please send me a email for those that wants to play at woodlands stadium. For convenience, u might want to list down the forum names of those who are interested n attending as like in other threads once its more or less confirm the numbers n den just post here for us to know whether booking is confirmed comes Tuesday booking date. Hi Uncle Lee, yah...joining new group to play more...den somemore near my hme also mah...more convenient. Hmmm...i also only high beginner...played with u a few times liao...u shld know mah, always make me run here n there all over the court. Maybe when u are in spore n not playing with yr usual wednesday group...can come join us in woodlands n share with us some of yr tricks n skills.

hi guys, not to burst your bubble either, but I would prefer to play with similar level. it's not fun for both sides if levels not similar.

badminton @ woodlands There's a regular group playing every Saturday and Monday morning 8 - 10 am at Woodlands block 105 open badminton court. Playing there for about 2 months. NO BREEZE from 7-9 am. Good location for practising strokes and sweat-out. Frequently the chief will book indoor court @ marsiling cc. for this regular group. All Woodlandiers are welcome to joined.
