YMCA badminton is a joke, its not worth it. the competition is so-so and only fun if you bring your own friends. you have better luck playing at clubs. there are clubs that run 7 days a week. erindale and badminton birds are the well known ones. http://www.erindalebadminton.ca/ http://www.badmintonbirds.com have fun.
I have played in the erindale club, coaching is okay I heard badmintonbirds is pretty decent, most of my friends play there, and one of my stringers play there too, and charge for $10 / service
badminton birds is good, its feather only. there are high-performance players but most are competitive.
