How to you "melt" the share grommets to be like umbrella?

    This looks really easy. Should the top of the punch tool be 1/8” or 3mm?

    Looking at those for example (https://www.amazon.com/Mayhew-Tools...37&s=power-hand-tools&sr=1-5&ts_id=2225055011), I think I'd go with the 5 mm or even the 8 mm one. It's just important that it has a pointy tip.

    But tbh, I wouldn't bother anymore with going down that road with open fire and stuff. I've been using these kind of cold press pliers for years now and they are just so much faster and more convenient, that they are worth the money (times x):

    It's literally like 2 seconds per grommet to make them nicely flared.

    Completely agree. I've been using this one for a while now and it's quick and good results. May depend on the grommets you use and how short you cut them. Highly recommend
