Sony is leading comfortably 18-10. He should win this one, with a negotiable R16 match against Yeoh Kay Bin or Lu Yi. I think only opponents like Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, Taufik Hidayat, Bao Chunlai, Chen Jin and perhaps Peter Gade can beat Sony at the moment. The quarter-final match against Chen Jin will be a good test of his credential to break to the top 4.

Wong Mew Choo should just skip Hong Kong Open to conserve her energy. A first round loss here will be acceptable too since she will not exert herself in the next few days.
