    Hi guys,

I've been lending my backup racquets to a few friends who have not yet bought racquets during our weekly play. One thing that I have noticed is that over time, I notice more and more paint chips in the racquet. The weird thing I've noticed is, there have been no clashes and hardly any knocks against the floor when my friends have used them.

What could be the cause? we use mostly Yonex AS-20 feather shuttles and the occasional plastic shuttle for warm ups. My only guess is that it has something to do with the the racquet rim mishits on the shuttles. I figured I'd ask you guys before I confront my friends with the topic. Any Ideas?

Based on what's given here, it's very likely to be rim mishits
(I've got a few chips from mishits before haha)

    Hope this helps!:)

Yeah it does! I personally have not had chips from mishits, but now that I know from you that its possible, it makes more sense now!

    It could be
Rim miss shots like mentioned before
Bad teamwork in doubles (clashing racquets together)
Trying to pick up the birdie with the racquet
Or it could just be bad protection (no case, placed in bag with sharp objects)
