Hello everyone,
I have been looking for a sport for long time to stop being so sedentary, but didn't find any interesting for me. Now I have found badminton and I think I have finally found the one I was looking for: Looks exciting, can be sociable, and not too expensive (well, this is debatable...). My goal is to practice it just for fun, not in competition (i am over 40), but I enjoy learning the correct technique.
I cannot afford a coach at this moment so my plan is to teach myself watching videos. I felt overwhelmed when I saw how many different strokes I have to learn, so I didn't know where to start. After watching some videos I think this can be the first strokes I should learn, starting from the easiest to avoid frustration:
Grip
Backhand serve
Forehand serve
Neutral net shot
Forehand drive
Backhand drive
Forehand clear
Sounds like a plan?
