Has anyone tried the Li-Ning No. 5/ No. 7 string?

I'm considering these strings as I keep on breaking Yonex BG80's

At what tension? Apparently 7 is soft, so you might want 5.

I've tried Li Ning no. 7. It's quite durable, probably comparable to Bg65 in that regard. But I also enjoyed playing with it a lot more than Bg65. No 7 is a lot more repulsive.

You're breaking BG80 at 24lbs? After how long? BG80 is pretty durable.

Seconded. I've personally never chewed through 80's (at much higher tensions as well @32lbs). Yeah if you lunge and put all your power into a net kill then mishit, it can happen from time to time with every string but 80 should not break at 24. I wonder if it has something to do with the stringer. One of the stringers I know has a habit of straightening the string bed with a sharp awl. Neither the JP 80 nor the SP 80 ever "broke" on me constantly. Damaged grommets and contact with the sharp edges of the frame is also something that comes to mind.

Now I'm really interested in the duration a packet or stringjob lasts you.

BG 80 can also break pretty quickly if the stringer is letting it cut into itself while they weave the crosses.
On a side note: I'm surprised people find bg80 to be durable. I used to go through at least one a week when I used it. And that was only around 25lbs

I broke my BG80 in about 3 weeks: perhaps that was due to the fact conditions were wet and cold. I think it's nothing to do with my stringer: thicker-gauged strings such as BG65ti have lasted about 6 months at the same tension
