Guys, I have created this thread to talk about néw Gosen Ryzonic 58mm and 65mm strings exclusively. If anyone has tested them, please provide your feedback. I am unable to get reviews of these strings any where online. Let this be the first forum to talk about them. Regards, Senthilprakash
I am waiting for https://trumpbadminton.se/ to stock them. Then I will probably try. I asked but they don’t have a set date for them yet.
I heard that both 58/65 have better sound and rebound and the tension lasts longer than GTONE/bg66um. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am trying the 65, tension= 24.5/25.5. I am a 9 month user of BG80. I am looking for a string that is more friendly compared to it but retain the shuttle grip which I need for spin serve. Compared to BG80, it is easier to hit clear, I saw/felt the smash sped up a bit in the last 2 meters. I could feel the grip during the spin serve, comparable to BG80.
IMO that's LN N68. The texture is even rougher than BG80, but maybe 5-10% less hard and more repulsive in return. Stays playable for much longer as well, but loses some durability.
I hope to try the N65 but my stringer does not have them and does not plan to stock them. I feel that I need medium feeling string since my shoulder, hand, finger feel pain.
I have not played with them for a while but I will try to give a review based on what I remember. Ryzonic 58 felt very similar to G-tone 58 at first. I would give it a slight edge in repulsion since the G-tone felt a bit lacking in that department for me. That repulsion feeling left after about 1week (1 tournament match+1 session). After that it felt a bit dead, not soft, very hard but dead. After another session it loosened up a bit giving it some bounce but it was still hard to get distance with my backhand. Since the G-tone 58 is like no other string I have tried you can read my review of that one here: https://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/index.php?threads/gosen-g-tone-58.190002/ Ryzonic 65 had a quite smooth texture to the touch but to my surprise it had some bite to the shuttle when playing. I would say it had more grip than G-tone 5, slightly less than BG80. I used it for one tournament match and it felt ok, switched to Ryzonic 58 next match. I did not use the 65 for about 2 months after that. When I later tried it if felt way to soft, but my other rackets with Aerobite was softer. Nothing felt playable. Since it was summer and unusually hot that should be another factor. Restrung the Ryzonic 58 racket (since I broke it after 4-5 sessions on a misshit) with G-tone 5, 2lbs higher and that felt more suitable in the warm weather. Both strings felt repulsive. I would not say they feel more repulsive than Exbolt 63 but they both have better grip on the shuttle. Ryzonic 58 has way more grip, feels like it cuts in to it. Depending on the price for a reel I might be inclined to try the Ryzonic 58 as my tournament string.
I did not buy them. I got 2 sample packages to try and review. If they become availible to buy in sweden it will be at trumpbadminton.se
Ryzonic 65 doesn't lose its pop when it is fraying, unlike GT-5 which frays and loses its feeling fast. Hence, it holds tension better imo.
Currently Stringers World stocks the Ryzonic string and they offer international shipping I will be testing out the string hopefully in these next few weeks
