I was searching for places to find some shuttlecocks, and stumbled here. The info was helpful, but while I was looking for Tad's Sporting Goods, none of the links worked. So, I just wanted to post up the link for it (thats working now.. or new... whatever) http://www.tadssports.ca/ I just have a quick question, does anyone know anywhere else that I could find a greater selection of shuttlecocks? Thank you =)
Well, I was just refering to Tad's. The ones throughout the thread didn't work, but I guess that was because those were '.com' rather than '.ca' Thanks a bunch =)
ohh hahaa well not really about Tad's but just a general question about where would I find a wide range of shuttlecocks, but i think I got my answer from Matt. Unless you would refer to me to other places.
ic..well..there's always online stores if u buy in a bulk it's cheaper..or..if u wanted sosan u can contact Tai~...umm.. http://www.badmintonshoponline.us/unlimitshop/index.php?cPath=1_8 is not bad for shuttles.. we carry mostly all the victor ones..yonex as20,30,40,50..some crap knight..so on~.. OR..can always look for wide varieties @ www.shuttle-house.com
other choice I have a friend who does restringing at home in Vancouver East area. If you are interested, you can give me your email and I will let him know.
Good stores Never take your raquet to Sport Chek. Abbies has always been really good to me, just make sure your deal with Chris or Andrew. They have most raquets and shuttles. Way cheaper than S C and R&R too. I dont know about those home stringers, where do they get their stuff? I rather pay a $2 more and have it done professionally.
Black Knight racquets May I know where to buy black knight racquets or any good racquets in Vancouver? Or lower Mainland? Thanks
Ok Thanks, I'll be staying near Robson Street, should be able to trace my way there under the snow. I hope to join some fellow BCer's for games...
Quality stringing service recommend I think I have the information you need. It took me a while to find this nice stringing service too. Nice and inexpensive! BG-65: $15, BG-80: $17, personal string $10. I don't know where to find a cheaper one. He is a good player too. I met him at YUMO. I think he has good skill to do string, because he also do cracked racket too (not lower the tension, not bad). I hate to give my racket to those ppl who always get so picky on your racket's quality and find excuses to lower the tension. Some guys evern worse -- brake your rqcket#$%^&* He live in Richmond, here is his email benniejones@shaw.ca.
yumo.ca can purchase online and pick up in Richmond. Pretty close to Tad's just over the bridge. Another option.
Tads is pretty good aside from the fact that they don't have prices on most of their stuffs. When you ask for a price they will just utter some number at you. It all depends on who you ask, the price is not the same from one employee to the next so keep asking Yumo carries models from china/hong kong as well as the usual canadian market stuffs. So a good place to go if you are looking for the oversea version of something. Topline is new, they layout is nice, selection is decent for a store that just opened. Pricing is about the same as those US based online retailers. Just got my racquets strung there and they are as good as any other i've tried.

It's been a while since I paid attention to badminton stores in Vancouver or the web. I use to buy from Tad's, but now I'm not sure if Tad's still the best place to go to. I've never heard of All-Court Stringing Before. Are they any good? Any decent deals to be found on the internet? I'm looking to buy the Yonex Voltric 80 and BG-80 strings.
Currently, Topline Sports is the place to go to. Just opened few months ago. If you want to save a bit, I have a 4U in excellent condition locally. Pm me if you like.
