One player who impressed me here is derek. Really a hard work put by him in this tournament. A well deserved silver medal to him. Most of the points won by kp was his excellent net play followed by a huge smash.
Impressed that Derek put up such a good fight against P. Kashyap. In all honesty I was expecting him to get steamrolled in two games but his energy and his fighting spirit was something else and made the men singles final a real treat to watch. Has really good attacking play too! His loss of focus towards the end where he went 16-19 down was the one that decided the match, unfortunately.
Medal ceremony for MS. Well done boys. All the three deserved for these medals of respective colours.
Absolutely agree with you. Excellent net play is one of the ways to set up the attack, put the opponent on the defensive and deny him/her too many attacking opportunities.
The IND lady coach is too emotionally involved, sometimes I really worry for her the way she sat at the coaches' side mumbling and praying to herself; she had better have a strong heart, for health's sake, I meant her well.
