French Open SS 2008 - Day 3 (Wednesday October 30)

I know this may sound silly, but can someone please tell me what does it mean by retire?

Does that mean the player got injured and had to leave or he just felt he is totally not competitive enough to go on, so just throw off a white flag?

u cant retire if even u lost 1st set 21-0...i think injury is the main reason...;)

Retire = Could not continue playing

u cannot...;)...sportmanship is important...
Even to the point where your leg feels so painful you cannot even stand?
Ya still wanna continue?
Sure, go ahead...

A good sportsman should know when to push on, and when to wave the white flag.;)

Sportsmanship is important? So, your health and badminton future aren't?
