My prediction is the same. Even France beated Brazil and Portugal, they just don't have enough fire power to score on Italian's defense. However, if it went down to PSO, ... then France may have a chance.

Portugal just have more talent than Germany. Klinsmann did a great job leading a group of mediocre players to the semi-final.

Pretty boy Cristiano maybe? His tears lowers the guards of the ladies, making him kinda attractive. In fact, I won't be surprised if it's because he's "cute".

I have to admit, the first time I saw Reyes I thought he looked a bit like Tom Cruise. Fend, if you can understand the female mind then you're a smarter man than me and I bow to your wisdom

not sure of portugal but spain would be an extremely serious contender for next world cup... in this one, spain's squad had 4-5 19-21yrs young guns firing ... david villa, fabregas and more... so i guess they would be more mature in next 4 yrs... spain was in such a great touch before france beat them so convincingly.. :( ..

Most footie players reach their peaks before or around 30, an age where they are not old enough to lose that youthful energy and enthusiasm, while reasonably experienced to take advantage of their abilities to the fullest. 25-years of age is reasonably young for a footballer, just coming into the curve where their performance is on the way up.

Unlike badminton though - they aren't required to do full body movements continuously so the demand on energy is less intensed if compared on a per-minute basis. The older the player gets, they more they get smarter meaning less effort to do the same thing for players of equal levels while in badminton, reduction of speed and power can affect the game, making it a disadvantage.

How many Peter Gades do you have? Just one.

Still, it will affect players who depend on those attributes though, most especially speed merchants who normally operate as wingers, speedy strikers and fullbacks who overlap with the midfield. Tactical players would normally last a lot longer in their careers.

Here's a rough guide on average ages when footballers reach/begin their peaks, based as mentioned by Marc Vaughan of SI Games, the people who created the famous Football Manager (previously known as Championship Manager), give or a year or two.

    Goalkeeper : 33
    Defender : 31
    Midfielder : 29
    Striker : 28

Yes, it's a game but these people had worked with football statistics for the past 14 years as well as being fanatics of footie themselves so it's more or less applicable.
