no one can maintain his form every match. if he didnt have the desire like u say,why he still try to shoot on target?and why he still try to get goal? i dont think cr lack of money,in mu,he can get both reputation and money. but in rm,he can get more money but less reputation(in term of result)
No football player in the EPL lacks money. The point is they lack more money. Besides CR is a very active investor in property & hotels. This is very money sapping. His earning days are over in 10yrs so they have to get it while they can.
with his reputation,i dont think he will lack of money even after 20 years. just like david beckham, right?
DB is still playing. I didn't say he will lack money, I said he lacks more money (which is what most footballers crave) and that his (big) earning days will be over in 10yrs... DB is also an exception. He has created his own brand and celebrity through his activities and marriage. No other footballer is like that...
ok,so u dont think cr can be as famous as db? given that cr only 23 this year, mind to tell me how famous db is when he is 23?
I didn't say CR cannot be as famous as CR, infact I think CR is a far better footballer than DB. DB was one dimensional in passing and crossing, had little pace & not much skill. CR Can do everything - Pass, pace, head, free kicks, forward, wing you name it he can do it. He is not as good as Zidane though, he was a genius! CR has a long way to go. Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, George Weah or even Zidane did not have the brand power & celebrity that DB has. I meant what I said DB is an exception which is more than football. Having said that though, I doubt he will retain his image as strongly when he stops playing. NB at 23/24 Beckham was pretty famous too. He had won FA Cup, Premier league more times than CR & one CL medal like CR........
He can start by having himself appear in more commercial breaks. Believe it or not, I first knew DB not as a footballer, but as a model for Brylcreem (a hair cream brand).
I think you're mistaking job scope with desire as one doesn't guarantee the other et vice versa; it is his job to 'try to shoot on target' and 'try to get goal'. Besides, if you're paid in excess of £100,000 a week, you're expected to do all those things - more so if the eyes of other clubs are on him - especially one described as 'dream to play for' in more than one occassion. Harming your legendary status whilst attracting offers from other clubs is pretty dumb IMO. One thing at least that I can commend about him is the absence of 'bridge burning' in which he doesn't protest flat out about being 'denied' a move to his dream club. Yet the body language is pretty bizzarre for a player happy in his place - the self-subsitution at Sunderland being one prime example.
faint,as i said,if u think he have no problem, then no problem lar. why bother about how i think about him.personal opinion
The price that MU had to pay for being a business is .. not cheap. We had fakes fans, pretenders and players that play for money, only. The sense of belonging is a way lesser, Publicity and commercial value that you had mentioned, are not the only words that can be used to tell what is Man U, however. We are as precious as the history had told. I don't care if Ronaldo was not around. We are still a Man U, with or without him.
