Hi, I'm looking for badminton players to play in Bacon's college (near Canada water). I'm sth between beginner and intermediate (although prefer to think about myself as intermediate Can play on most weekday evenings (except Thursday) or during the weekends. Preferably singles but can also play doubles. The cost is 7 pounds per hour (per court) so 3.50 per person if playing singles. The location is as below: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bacon%27s+college+london&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=12.188179,39.506836&ie=UTF8&hq=bacon%27s+college&hnear=London,+UK&ll=51.502091,-0.040083&spn=0.012529,0.038581&z=15 If your interested - let me know (preferably reply or call/text 07858451626) Cheers, Marcin
Good luck. Hello, I can recommend some clubs in South London. Ian Robinson www.croydonbadmintoncoaching.co.uk
Hi guys and girls, I am interested in a Saturday game also in the Greenwich/Canary Wharf area. A friend recommended the club at Mulberry School for Girls, Off Commercial Road. Does anyone know if we can just turn up and play? Any contact details would be much appreciated. cheers, Michael
Michael, Why not you come and play with us? Our group is called The London Canary Wharf Badminton Group. We play at a leisure centre in Canary Wharf every Saturday morning and during weekdays too. Contact number is 07798580847. Regards
wharfplayer, thanks, but I was a little concerned that The Canary Wharf club says it only has 1 or 2 courts and that it could get a little busy or alternatively perhaps not a great number of people go because of the small number of courts (so not many people to practice with).
You never try, never know. Not many people usually and trust me, plenty of games. A bunch of friends playing, good players on Tuesday. Ratio of 6 players per court, not bad
Melberry School club Hi Monkey, I say you can just turn up at Mulberry School pay and play, but the club is not well organized in a when that you will get a game as there are different levels in play. So choose which is best and if you come with no friend then see if anyone will play with you in doubles for your the first visited. Because I say this, I have been there on my own and if players don't know you they just leave you on the court on your own until someone joins you for doubles. It made me feel none wanted to play with me for many reasons as I had stood alone on the court and players just look on with no care.
