It's good that you are redeeming yourself now but next time don't be too boastful with comments like everybody's scared of Taufik which is rubbish because I think Peter Gade & Lee Choong Wei are would rather avoid playing Lin Dan than Taufik Hidayat.

Being "too" boastful prior to the macth is necessary to make the competition "hotter"

    Nice post & well taken..

..hey, you made it back here, indra...;)..hope you're not too down on his lost, well, at least you sounded like you're accepting the lost..;)
Hmm, i think your statement i've highlighted in bold is kind of contradicting there...If Taufik lacks stamina(like you said), then how can he be fit??..He might not even be healthy 90%.. :p

    thanks for the input, Simp84..;)
just want to comment on the above comments..sorry, snipped the rest of post brevity..
I think to summarize all your points, IMO, Taufik was still "thinking" and "trying" his best effort...But there's a saying that goes something like this(correct me guys if i'm off): "the mind is willing, but the body is weak"..He grew weary towards the end thus he made those errors(well both players made tons of errors). I think that's the difference; for some reason his body language & bounce just wasn't there esp. towards the end of the match; in comparison to that of CH.. ;)

To summarize, TH now is different...He lost in one of the most prestigious series (7*) in which top players participate, in a neutral ground.
yes...I am accepting the loss...I am not down...I am still behind TH, no doubt....

TH is fit, yet his stamina is not as good as he was when he was last year (perhaps due to his injury, which has prevented him from practicing and playing properly)....

After watching Taufik's match yesterday, there's NO WAY that he will be able to beat Peter Gade, Lin Dan, and LCW in succession; that is even though he beat Chen Hong yesterday (which he didn't).

..hehe, i don't think he's(indra) being "boastful"...I think he's just trying to be "stubbornly positive" abt Taufik's chances all the time, even without taking *reality* into account. Eventhough i think indra has some sense & might think Taufik will be in a tough battle..some would call indra's attitude "blind optimism"?!?!.;):p :D

    No Stamina = Not Fit

indra, Taufik played in a "neutral" ground also last yr, not much different than this yr. Yet he was in shape, almost tip-top, fit and enthused to compete..Not this yr. All the facts and reports all yr long pointed & showed that he wasn't going to be a factor...
On that note, I like to paraphrase another famous saying into something like this :
"If Taufik is not fit, then he can not compete".. :p ;):D

bottomline, CH beat TH at his own game. CH attacking form is excellent already, he improved his weakness in finesse shots, maintain his fitness, and that's enought to beat a same old taufik. TH didn't even make pass the first wall of china. TH need to reform his tactic under NSS, he can't afford to toying around to refine his strokes during the game. Warmup should be done before the match.

All the hints were there, indra, you just did not want to hear, did you. :)
Before this tourney began Lius Pongoh said, "Don't expect too much from Taufik."
His coach also said about Taufik's lack of motivation and his lack of preparation.
And Taufik himself said that, "My main target for this year is Asian Games." (That's if IBF allows him to play in the Asian Games).

If Taufik cannot prove his word in the next Asian Games, then PBSI better kick him out of Pelatnas to give more opportunity for Simon and Sony.

Taufik's era is about to over, I am sad to say...

    ..there you go...;)
Now, after showing all those examples, don't you think Taufik might as well have stayed back in Indo??..rather than travel, waste PBSI pocket-change etc.??..I mean why sent someone who's not ready, not fit, not motivated, not hungry to compete??.. :p

When TH lost in this year's Thomas Cup, I remembered he said (for LD)"come to meet me in Madrid".

Now no more Aisan games for him, probably.

Let's wait for his next quotation (if not an excuse)

Agree. Only if CH to be smarter. Glad to see CH did not repeat his stupid mistake again.

    Ask PBSI, not me.
If I were PBSI I would send Simon and Sony instead of Sony and Taufik. :)
