Im toying the idea of getting a drop weight machine and its going to be either,

    SuperStringer T12
    SuperStringer T15

I've seen videos about calibrating the clamps so it doesnt damage the string, but i like to find out do you need to calibrate the actual drop weight device so it does damage the string when it gripped and ready to be tensioned?

Still reasearching a fair bit to see if its an adventure i want to start, especially when me and my kids had to get 6 restrings done in a space of a month and a half :(

The gripper will not harm it.

T15 has semi automatic clamp bases, if I remember right, in my opinion this is well worth the upgrade.

Thanks - i think i've decided on the T15 to get. Just trying to find some information on how to use a drop weight and calivrating before i pull the trigger. I've already brought a reel of cheap badminton strings which i need to wait to arrive from China. So this will give ma a bit more time to do more research :)
