A sprain isn't the same nor as serious as a broken/fractured wrist, hope it's the former. Luckily it's his left hand,the non-playing hand;as long as he can still hold the shuttlecock to serve,he can play but what if he has to do a dive to retrieve a shot? Still,wish him the very best.
As someone who's broke their wrist before, playing with a cast on affects your balance (if it's on the other wrist) so it can be quite difficult I guess and also you can't dive. The report said it was broken, not sprained.
Is the CHN team gonna walk out from this SS? I hate it when politics rear its ugly head in sports....
On the other hand the absence of the Chinese team will give some more motivation to the other big guns
