Did Lin Dan just spin his racket on the palm trying an outrageous flick instead of tapping down the sitter as Kentaphonan was lying on the floor?

    Wah!

But the flick landed on the blue carpet.

The new 12 tournaments rules are killing the players, and the sports as a whole

Maybe TTY will regret missing last year's world Championships when she was in red hot form.

Meanwhile tennis has been doing just fine with similar rulings. There may, however, be a case for adopting logevity reductions in the same way tennis does.

If the financial incentives are high enough, there will be less 'noise' from the players and more play.

"Sony in good shape". Very funny. Just look behind the line of bookmakers for this match. Carefully review the match. NG Ka Long Angus is a bad actor. Is badminton becoming as profitable as tennis? Very sad.

What regret? “I won’t regret skipping the world meet as it’s held every year.” That was from her interview.

Time is up for LD. My brain is convinced, but the heart is not ready to accept!

To be honest though, what amazes me most about TTY is how she still manages to win even when she's not in the best form. She was almost ousted last week in Malaysia as well... but eventually still reached the final in a match that really could have gone either way. This time she does it again. I don't think it's a coincidence. I think it's simply champion play from the world no. 1. Meanwhile, we all know that all players will be primed for the WC and AG so we expect TTY at her best in that tournament.

SN wasted opportunity to close this game up, will it prove to be too much again?

Is someone able to notice SN moving a lot better on the court than than she is been in the last one year?

But what player can be in form every year? She was amazing last year.

This year seems a bit early but shaky. With all due respect to Michelle Li, Michelle is coming back from having had operations and probably training on her own a lot of the time. By rights, Michelle should be feeling the strain at the end of the third game. I am definitely surprised that TTY cannot kill off or speed up the game at the end of third set.

Form is not something you can just turn on at the flick of a switch for most people including top athletes. There's more uncertainty later this year when another scoring scheme comes in.

SN played very tactically not much running, I guess she knows father time caught up and adjusted her style. Not always power smashing but when she did they were almost always winners.
CYF looked sloppy to me, never determined enough to continue her attack.

    long matches....
also original schedule is 40 minutes per match... not enough considering warm-up and stuff
they should have started at 8am or 9am instead of 10
