Coaching students for competition in school

    Im a coach for my school(ex-senior of the school) and need some tips on coaching...was the past year player for the school, known as school player !!!
    ANy ways or tips for me to coach them??? I need some tips especially how to make them coorperate with me and work together, and at the same time they can concentrate on their training ???
    I really want them to do their best in this District Level QUalifying tournament next year !!!

    Hi Zhiwei,

    Wow this is really tough for you. Your problem is that you are the EX school player. It will be easy for you to coach the first year players.

    You must bare in mind that not all school players have the same objectives as you. Some are there because of this reasons : Reconition, sense of belonging, to be with friends, loving the game and that does not mean to be a competitive player.

    This is where you face lack of co-operation. Try knowing them better, be with them in some occassion like lunch, breaks in the canteen or apply x training in some games of movement related to the sport.

    Good on you man. Bagus. It takes dedication to make it successful. Some have studies issues. Just spar with them regularly; younger players loves to challenge their coaches. Give them a good spar. ;)

    This is 'one' of my way on how I motivate my students. ;)

    it really helped a lot this time...year end im gonna start again...for students to prepare for next year's district tournament...
