This event 1st International event for Tantowi/Richi Actually Vietnam Open 2008 should be 1st event for them but any mistake in registry, the pair became Tantowi/Shendy and Tantowi/Shendy won it.
As expected, Akhmad Tantowi/Richi Puspita Dili won their first title as a pair. Well, Tantowi himself already won a bunch of titles with Yulianti, his former partner as well as Shendy Puspa Irawati, including 2 Vietnam Open GP titles. It's the change of partners that disrupt his progress in the past 2 years I am pretty sure that Towi/Richi will be pushed to the first team very very soon and hopefully rising up to top 10 as Fran/Shendy did in 1-1.5 year time. As for Fran/Pia, good showing as well and I have confidence in them as well. Get rid of Devin/Lita! Towi/Richi, Fran/Pia and hopefully a younger partner will be arranged for Butet. In that case, we have 3 pretty solid and young XD!
What do you think of both pairs' performance? I can say I am pretty confident with Towi/Richi....but not that certain about Fran/Pia. I missed the live telecast and will be going off soon....
i thought rijal/debby still a good XD despite their lost yesterday, i thought they still a promising XD pair and not worse than the 2 XD who played in final...
I would rate Rijal/Debby as below Towi/Richi and Fran/Pia. Mainly because of Debby's inexperience. We shall see....
Towi/Richi much better than Frans/Pia this time, Tantowi has big smash and Richi good in front side. Pia need adjust to play flat or lower return against the opponent with big smash.
but she's the youngest girl, and i think she's gonna take a lot of experience from many tourney she will compete.. but, sory.. in my opinion the 3 INA XD pairs still equal and have chance to beat each other...
