National men’s doubles badminton player Chew Choon Eng will not be going to the Manila SEA Games.

The seasoned campaigner’s father died yesterday and Choon Eng is now in Penang for the funeral.

With Choon Eng out, Malaysia will only be represented by two men’s pairs – Chan Chong Ming-Koo Kien Keat and Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah. Choon Eng had been slated as the reserve.

Singles shuttler Wong Choong Hann may be roped in to play in the doubles.
