Are these the only chinese players playing this tournament? Is that due to the problems between China and Taipei?

Thats only independent chinese players will be playing....I do not know the exact reason why China did not send the main team..as we know the relationship between Taiwan and China are much closer...

Even in the past few years, we see that there's practically no players from the Chinese National Team being sent to the CT Open.

Again, PBSI should send some of their top-team, with players like Simon Santoso, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki, Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan, Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita, etc. A good chance to win some titles like last year. But too bad, they decide to send the back-up team.

Could also be..

..the tourney is too close to the World Championships date for the main team to compete..What is it, only 1+ week after the WC ends??..

I think China team needs to take a rest too. Most of them participate in WC then followed by Macau Open. If they still appear in Chinese Taipei Open, I am just afraid they may get exhausted :D

In 2006 edition, China National players competed Chinese Taipei Open when Lin Dan, Zhang Ning and Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng won title.

Agree, just wondering why PBSI will only send back-up players to this GP Gold tourney...

I think PBSI should send the back up players to tournaments which have opportunity to get more points such as GP Australia and International Challenge Tournaments. Players such as Greysia/Nitya, Rian/Yonathan, Bona/Ahsan, suppose to send to GP or GP Gold Tournaments such as Chinese Taipei to get more experience, not only send them to SS Tournaments. Who is the person to decide sending players? Is he Lius Pongoh?

Can't wait for new combo Rijal/Butet, hope their chemistry bode well ;)
Maybe Rijal finally found his soulmate this time around, though :p :p
...
Btw i guess PBSI decision not to sent their main team to Macau and Taipei is bcoz it's too short from WC,
the players may get exhausted,
though they have big chances to grab titles here
Or maybe its bcoz of their financial problems? LOL :) :)

particular time for each match, where can i find it? thanks ^.^

Possibly we'll know tomorrow at its website, since this GP Gold doesn't listed at ts.com
