Shi YQ now playing https://m.weibo.cn/1692557473/4545500353924789 And Li SF https://m.weibo.cn/1692557473/4545787185076406
Shi YQ practically relies on tactical game plan with contructed rally to outmaneuver his inexperienced opponent. Looks something wrong with his footwork, if Wang speed up the tempo, Shi would be in trouble.
Han Qianxi gave HBJ a run for her money. She can run all over the court, returning all the shots thrown at her and in the process made HBJ run too. HQX is very fit too. Poor GFJ suffered a strain on one of her calf muscles. Could see her limp into the court at the beginning of the second set.
I missed most of the matches, started watching late. No wonder Gao Fangjie didn't seem to be moving well. Yes, Han Qianxi has potential, fast and fit, troubling He Bingjiao all the way, and the scoreline reflected it. That's why I wish to see HBJ inject some deception and be more creative in her shot-making so as to try and keep her opponents guessing more and slow them down. If she continues playing her present game, she would have to contend with fast attacking players capable of power play, like Carolina Marin, P V Sindhu, Chochuwong Pornpawee, Kim Ga Eun, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, not to mention the super-fit and deceptive Tai Tzu Ying, against whom I don't see her enjoying any advantage and has to rely more on her intelligence and perhaps better reading of her opponent's game.
Anybody can comment on the Huang Yuxiang vs Li Shifeng match as I missed the live broadcast, was HYX impressive? I won't be surprised if the young and relatively inexperienced Li Shifeng was outsmarted by the clever, mature and highly experienced HYX.
Dong Tianyao's net play is superb, unfortunately too little too late, and that's the kind of net control that I wish to see Chen Long acquire as it'd be another weapon in his arsenal ,esp when dealing with the likes of Kento Momota, Anthony Ginting, in future encounters.
Are Tan Qiang and Tan Ning siblings? They appear to look alike. I notice that Tan Qiang's partner, Liu Yi is quite good for a 17 year old.
Zhang Yiman, not bad, very hardworking playing every round, her 8th match today, and beating the improving Zhou Meng to boot, a sign of her progress though I admit I wasn't too convinced until she won this match.
Here is a second look at how the 13 year old girl plays, against Zhang Yiman. Nothing very special about her yet except her age. RI and Chuchuwong were also very good when they were around her age. Let's wait for 2-3 years to find out whether she will turn out to be a very good player. 1 hr 59 minutes onward.
Overall, it's good performance against his younger opponent, he controlled match well and leaving Li SF frustrated to commit unforced errors. If only Huang YX could produced same feat when took higher-ranked players and keep consistent in international tournament maybe he would not wait long time to be one of world beaters.

Saw a better Lin Guipu today but he is still impatient at times. When he was leading by 4 points on reaching 7 in the second set he tried to force his way through by smashing continuously to take the set. Made a lot of mistakes as a result to let Bai YP overhaul him. He was lucky to eventually win the set.
Indeed, we saw a glimpse of his junior display, pure attacking player with lethal smash, more explosive than Shi YQ but careless still looming. He needs international exposures when BWF tournament is expected to resume completely next year.
Yeah, I saw the match, LGP is lacking consistency, sometimes brilliant, sometimes erratic, hope he can gradually find his touch and realize his full potential in good time.
Now I'm watching the replay of Han Qianxi vs Xu Wenjin. If I'm not wrong, that's Li Yu coaching Xu Wenjin, the 13-year-old, on courtside. If my memory serves me right, Li Yu was once coach cum player for Jiangsu in the CBSL (forgot which year) and beat Chen Long.
