CHN would not care...it is the medals that count after all, years from now, who would remember incidents like this, the medal tally is what people remember and if CHN top the medal tally, that is what people remember for a successful OLY games for CHN.

I would like the media to print all the unfairness to wake up Badminton China. If it was genuine mistakes by the judges than they need to be replaced or retrained coz they are bad. If it was a conspiracy to win at all cost, then they ought to do something because it has tarnished them.

It's obvious that ZTT and GL will win.

IMHO, people remember the bad more than they do of the good. People will remember this as reputations are built over time and unpleasant ones are hard to shake off.

BCL may rejoice from his win today. But he will always be troubled by the fact that if LCW wasn't distracted by several decisions ruled against him, and he was able to play his game better the match better than his opponent.

He should feel like he's been cheated, though he had won. He would want to win that match fair and square without all those undesired, undisputed bad and poor line calls and umpiring.

at least they admit this match is somehow manipulated.
They also felt pity for BCL for not being able to win in a true badminton game.

Just hit the shuttle to the net to finish the game to show your protest.

Thanks for this! I've skimmed through it and am impressed to find that many Chinese fans are very fair and rational. Many say that they do want BCL to win but think that this match does not reflect BCL's true form and performance. They even say that they are ashamed of the the unfair treatment given to LCW. Of course, there is nothing wrong on BCL's part. He is a victim too - his effort has been wasted because his performance in such an unfair situation does not reflect his true form.

I was hoping that he'd do that anyway - the final two points - deliberately hit it out or into the net, shake hands, applaud the crowd and walk off.

Hahaha, I think that won't happen. He will be enjoying his win tonight as China officials toast his win. They would make him feel good.

BaoCL will feel good about his win, no doubt. The only time when this incident will resurface in his thoughts is when he is in the same situation on the opposite end and wonder if he really deserved it.
