Chai Biao and Zhang Nan are up now. I really like these 2 players, but they don't seem to have the same potential as Fu/Cai.

I think the big difference is that Fu and Cai had VERY defined roles, they are very different talents. Fu is definitely the back court player, Cai is clearly the front player. But Chai and Zhang are much more similar players. I think this will hurt them in the long run.

My next prediction for the day: Hu Yun will beat Chen Jin... I love Hu Yun's laaaaaaazy style of play and excellent backhand... I've said this before but I'll say it again... he's like a lazy version of Taufik Hidayat in terms of style... even remotely looks like him...

Wang Lin is always wearing the left knee guard, more for psychological support , I think.

Despite the loss, Wang Lin played better than I expected. She has the strokes but no fitness to match. Had thought Soldier Schenk would win emphatically but it turned out to be a creditable one for WL.

Chen Jin grinds down Hu Yun in G1,21-10. Don't expect the same in G2,Hu Yun is a fighter.

No idea why Ratchanok is not going for attacking game. she seems to be very slow in the courts. Her attacking smashes are missing here

okay I admit... some very wrong prediction for the day. Chen Jin is just about to destroy Hu Yun. Unless Hu Yun can save this G2.

Liu Xing and LXR started off their international career at about the same time, both of them playing the final of the Asia Badminton Championship in 2010, won the LXR who eliminated Saina in the semi-final. Now they are practically worlds apart as far as results are concerned.

Intanon is a child prodigy, highly regarded by the CHN camp. She could use a break though, she has been playing virtually non-stop the past one,two years. It would do her a lot of good, recharge, regroup and fine-tune her game the better to scale new heights.

Kim Sarang is such a wonderful player... he just lost his doubles match in the men's category and now he's leading in the mixed. Wonderful stamina!!!

Don't get to see how Chen Jin played, the rallies don't seem long, only 26 mins for the match won.
