Maybe LYB asked CHN MD to give up, with ZB/GL XD first game tmr, he doesn't want ZB playing too hard.

If this so, I fink LYB is worrying too much... coz ZB/GL should easily conquer the DEN XD pair tomorrow

Laybourn/Juhl gave ZB/GL a hard time in KO (22-20, 21-19) so precaution is justified, after all only ZB/GL has been able to beat GE/NR consistantly.

Not a bad tourney so far for Team Pelatnas.

3 MD in the quarter-finals. If Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto manage to beat Shen Ye/He Hanbin tomorrow, INA will have a representative in the Final. Is this the start of the turn-around by Luluk/Alvent? This tourney marks their best result since the China Open 2006. Another quarter-final placing in the upcoming Philippines Open should send them up to the top 16 again.

Meanwhile, there was no surprise for Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan as they defeated another MAS pair and they will face their compatriot Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi in the QF tomorrow. Kido/Hendra should end up as one of the top 4 seeds for the WC.

Not too bad, another QF placing (3 out of 7 tourneys) for AG/Joko as they too try to rake as much ranking points as possible to get possibly in the top 16 for the WC draw.

Taufik Hidayat seems to be gearing up for classic encounters against Lee Chong Wei and hopefully Lin Dan in the semi-final. Simon Santoso and Sony Dwi Kuncoro lost to the more experienced Kenneth Jonassen and Wong Choong Hann.

In the WS and WD, Maria Kristin and Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nur Sugianti lost as expected. However, Lilyana Natsir/Vita Marissa proved to be a useful pairing as they defeated Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui. They have a winnable tie against Kumiko Ogura/Reiko Shiota tomorrow.

Finally, in the XD, Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa again lost in a tight battle to the Chinese pairing of Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen. Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir advanced after a straight forward win against the Asuncions and will face Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thungthongkam tomorrow.

With LCW's matches, scores don't tell the whole story. Gotta look at time he let opponent play on court. This match is 21 mins, LCW's fastest match.

Peter Gade was outplayed by Taufik and lets see how Chong Wei deal with Taufik today. It would funny if Bao Chunlai and Chong Wei are the ones advance to final :D

Yes, just when you think Indonesia men's doubles are going no way then surprise and surprise, the reverse scenario can be said about team Malaysia. Malaysia MDs have not been doing well in last two tournaments so it's quite clear they are not as solid as what we like to think and claim, lots of work to do before the World Championship.
Anyway, seem like Chinese still will be the biggest winner but unlikely to have All-Chinese semi final on all events, thank god!

I didn't like the way Jonassen lost to LCW Sudirman. So I think WCH has a chance if he plays like he did against Cheng Hong.

Then Lin Dan will take care of Taufik the day after... AS usual...:p:D:D:D
Then Wacha will take care of Lin Dan in the final... the UNUSUAL... and bananaboy will be laughing so hard... even as a LD fan.:p:)

Then I will place $10US on Wacha winning WC07!!! (if he gets to play though:p) I will probably get the odds of 1:99.

There is no norm in this world. As soon as you think it is norm, it changes. I think Taufik will struggle tomorrow.

Especially when Malaysia player is involved, norm and no norm has very narrow margin :D

What type of injury? While he rehabs, it gives him a chance to go on a diet.
