Dude, the article that I was referring to(provided by Cooler) only mentioned about the runner-up cheque that Chen Hong earned from the tournament, and it did not mention anything else other than that one $4,000 cheque. So, any other figure you can come up with is only your assumption and not a fact.
My point in the previous post is that a runner-up only earns $4,000 US. is very sad for a professional sport perspective. These athletes work so hard physically and have to be so mentally tough to get to where they are today only to earn so little... my business make way more than Chen Hong's $4,000 US./month, and I don't have to work as hard as Chen Hong from a physical and mental point of view.
Another thing is since the runner-up only makes $4,000US, one can only imagine how much less the other players make from this tournament... How are they suppose to live without the financial support of sponsors or their badminton association...
